Lights! Lighting! Lighted!

Here are a few photos from the week. We are wrokin on lighting. Front lighting that creates hard definite lines, side lighting for details, under lighting for shadows and effects.
We continue to grow each week and our photos are getting better and better! We hope you stop by often to check them out!

Framing

The last few weeks we have been working on "framing". We have learned that framing can be a natural occurence with space, nature, or even "people". Take a look at a few of our "frames" that we took this week.

Perspective

This week we worked on perspective again. I would like to highlight Amayia's photos. She did a wonderful job combing zoom, depth of field, and perspective for these shots.

A Successful Beginning

Mrs. Cassady and I will start to upload some photos this weekend. I am thrilled with the first two classes as we discuss ZOOM and PERSPECTIVE and have moved along to "PEOPLE". We have discussed the difference between taking a portrait and posing for the camera as well as pictures of people being people.

I have LOVED some of the photos that have come through of leaves zoomed in close, faces up close, American Flags at an angle and zoomed in and out.

I hope Mrs. Cassady will post one of her examples of people or zoom soon! I LOVE her pictures!

Here are mine for the week:

Welcome!

Hi! We are Mrs. McDaniel and Mrs. Cassady! We are very excited to venture into the art of taking pictures and capturing moments on film (and digital media). We are going to practice composition, learn about aperature, how the camera functions, and best of all---share our work on this blog. I can't wait to see what YOU capture!
